What Are Ed Tech Solution Suites?

In an effort to bring cutting edge technology to our members with the high quality professional development our teachers deserve, Ohio Ed Techs have created a suite of solutions to ensure effective implementation for your districts educational technology needs. ITSCO Members who Purchase an Ed Tech Solutions Suite are also Eligible for the Following Benefits:

• If the training is held at ITSCO – 2 additional hours facilitated hands-on practice on the same day as the scheduled training.
• Snacks and light lunch (when staying for the 2 additional hours at ITSCO).
• Unlimited phone tech support for equipment.
• No mileage or travel time charges if within ITSCO 19 county area.
• Need extra help? Professional development is only $400/half day and $800/full day.

Digital Cameras for the Classroom

imaging. Participants will gain knowledge of the basic digital camera operation, information to help take great photos, basic editing tools, organization tools and sharing options. Course includes a class set of Canon PowerShot A1000 digital cameras with 4x optical image stabilized zoom, camera bags, and 2 GB memory cards.
Cost: $3,000 - class set of 15 digital cameras, bags, and 2 GB memory cards (Includes one, three hour training session for three participants. Please add $100 for each additional participant.)

The Flip Ultra Video camera will record up to 120 minutes of video. This video camera is a perfect choice for students to use easily in the classroom. Airliner by SMART Technologies
With the Airliner slate you can interact wirelessly with your SMARTBoard brand interactive whiteboard from 52 feet away.  The battery-free tethered pen lets you control any software application, write notes, and highlight information in digital ink. SMART’s Airliner wireless slate enables you to teach from anywhere and allows students to interact with information from their seats.

Geocaching with GPS
Everyone loves a treasure hunt! Use the technology of GPS units and the fun of hide and seek to teach about satellites, directions, map skills, natural wonders and more. We will learn how to use the GPS as well as exploring the limitless possibilities for incorporating GPS into lessons.

Intro to iPods
Explore the creative ways in which educators (and students) are using podcasts to enhance classroom i
nstruction. During this course, we will focus on finding free content to supplement your curriculum and getting the content on to your iPod.
Cost: $3,300 - class set of 15 16 GB iPod Nanos, 15 iPod voice recorders, and 1 AV Cable (Includes one, three hour training session for three participants. Please add $100 for each additional participant.)

iPod Touch for the Classroom
Since the introduction of the iPod Touch, mobile computing has never been the same. The Touch’s Safari browser has put the power of the Internet in the palm of our hands. During this session, participants will learn how to use an iPod Touch, browse the web with Safari, add web apps, and even check out the App Store. We will also discuss classroom activities that can be implemented using the Touch. Get ready to learn how this device can change the way you teach and your students learn.
