ITSCO is repeating the Flip Out over the Flipped Classroom session via live streaming video next Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.  The first seven participants may join via Google Hangout (requires a Google + account) and all are welcome to watch and chat via the live Youtube stream.  Links to the live session will be posted here fifteen minutes prior to the start of the session.  If you have any questions, feel free to email

Flip Out over the Flipped Classroom
Many educators are experimenting with flipping their classroom. Learn how educators are inverting the teaching methods by delivering instruction online outside of class and moving "homework" into class. We will look at tools that you can use to generate great learning outcomes and positive experiences for your students and strategies to make the flipped classroom work for you.

Bloomin' iPads (Blooms Taxonomy)
This session will look at iPad Apps for the classroom with an eye towards Blooms Taxonomy.  We will look at example classroom lessons with the iPad and show how to use  Apps to take students from Remembering/Understanding (lower Bloom's) into Evaluate/Create (Upper Blooms's). Participants should have some beginning experience with iPad's in the classroom.

Bookin' It With The iPad
Join us to experience how the iPad was used to read, create and publish book talks.  Through the LSTA Library grant,15 Ohio schools and 4 public libraries had the opportunity to explore the iPad and how students could best utilize the tablet to experience books.  During this session, participants will be introduced to the web site, the app, how the students and teachers created book talks and the challenges they encountered.  Check out to see the project.

Uncommon Projects for the Common Core
The Common Core is coming and with an emphasis on rigor and relevance, many teachers are looking for new ways to incorporate the standards into the classroom. In this session, we'll focus on how you can use the Project Based Learning model to support the Common Core, with plenty of technology tools and tips along the way. Come join us for to learn more about PBL, the Common Core and how you can use educational technology for your classroom!

A Bushel of Apps!
The  iPad can be so much more to a classroom than a research device. In this session we will focus on using Apps for Creating Content for the Project-Based classroom. The session will be broken up into Video Creation Apps, eBook Creation Apps, and Flip Classroom Apps.
