ITSCO will be presenting model lessons Thursday and Friday at AMLE's Classroom 2.0. Learn to effectively use technology in your classroom and tools to help you with your lessons. These model lessons allow you to participate in a hands-on lesson tied to using technology and subject standards. Time will be allotted at the end of the lesson for discussion of the technology and curricular goals. Come and learn as a student, then discuss as a professional. This will give new, interesting insights into using technology in your classroom!

Math and the Middle Ages

Come create castles and live out your royal dreams. Recent advances in technology allow students to build digitally so they can solve problems related to perimeter, area, and ratios. We will be using legos, a 3-D animation tool, and Voicethread to share our creations.

Chicago: A Poetry Study

In this language arts lesson we will explore the poem Chicago by Carl Sandburg. Students will explore how place plays a role in literature as well as look at personification and apostrophe. Primary resources, Wordle, and VoiceThread will be used to do a literature study of the poem that aligns with the Common Core Standards.
