ITSCO is focused on helping teachers integrate technology into their curriculum to better address State and National Standards. Here are links that will help our teachers stay focused on these educational standards as well.
The Ohio Department of Education provides links to download the Ohio Academic Content Standards in PDF format. Word documents for Benchmarks and Indicators by Standards and Benchmarks and Indicators by Grade-Level are also available. The Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center, with support from Batelle for Kids, has prepared some excellent tools to help teachers keep their classrooms focused - they are available to order at http://www.mvesc.k12.oh.us/ (click on "Curriculum and Instruction" and then on the "Curriculum Tools" link on the left).
The primary goal of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) NETS Project is to enable stakeholders in PreK-12 education to develop national standards for educational uses of technology that facilitate school improvement in the United States. The NETS Project will work to define standards for students, integrating curriculum technology, technology support, and standards for student assessment and evaluation of technology use. To a large degree, ITSCO workshops will focus on these standards for teachers and students (while incorporating the Academic Content Standards) to promote the use of technology to improve student achievement. At the site, you can find the standards by clicking on the links on the left for NETS for Students and NETS for Teachers. Technology integration lesson plans are also available at the site.
