In 2007, over 155,000 hours of high-quality professional development were delivered to educators by Ohio’s Educational Technology Agencies.  We would like to remind you of this invaluable service offered to your district and encourage you to sign-up or renew your 2008-2009 Additional Technology Services Membership with ITSCO to start receiving these services at an incredible rate.  In addition to our free Basic Services Membership, you gain access to professional development for technology integration at a 50% discounted rate for on-site and in-house workshops, presentations, online educational resources, free access to our video tape library and special promotional services.

Literature Lounge

In collaboration with Worthington Libraries and Worthington City Schools, ITSCO is excited to announce Literature Lounge, a new professional development series for K-12 teachers. Beginning in September, teachers will be able to take part in a series of six literature talks offered via Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC). The hour-long talks presented by Worthington Libraries will introduce and review noteworthy books for students. In addition, teachers looking to further their experience or receive graduate credit will be able to choose one of the highlighted books to complete an online book study. Participants will learn how to incorporate emerging technologies to create an interesting and fun book study with their students. Look for both of these opportunities this fall in the Literature Lounge.

Instructional Television Schedule

ITV programming will air Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 4:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. beginning on September 13, 2007. All programming will be "blockfed" - meaning that all programs in a series will be aired during this time period. This will allow you to videotape programs for later use. See what's on TV this week!
