Learning For The Digital Age

| | Welcome Learning for the Digital Age is a professional development initiative for Ohio's K-12 administrators and teachers that explores the role of technology in supporting critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication — the skills students need to be effective in today's classroom and tomorrow's workplace. This statewide collaboration of Ohio's Educational Technology Agencies, Educational Television Stations, and eTech Ohio provides high-quality interactive training for educators to help students use technology to master these essential skills for success throughout life. | | | 000 Hand-on Overview What are the "Four C's" and why do they matter? ITSCO has opened complimentary registration to ALL public school districts and community schools in our service region. Workshops will be held from 9:00 - 3:00 at ITSCO. You must be loged in to your ITSCO account to register. Online Class Can't attend a face-to-face Overview Training? The Online Course is your answer. The Learning for the Digital Age self-paced, online class is open to all Ohio Educators. To participate, you will need to register for the class.Follow the directions on the right side of the screen entitled "Is this your first time here?" Once you have created an account and have finished the authentication, you will have access to the class. Once you complete the course, a certificate of participation will be created. If you are having problems with the registration, please email info@itsco.org. | | | | The Four C's The “Four C’s” of Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication are widely recognized as encompassing the necessary skills to support independent and lifelong learning. However, the “Four C’s” also provide the framework for interaction and productivity that contribute to success academically, professionally, and personally at any stage of life. Once mastered, these skills travel with an individual for life. The trainings available as part of this initiative allow educators to explore the “what,” “why” and “how” of using technology in the classroom to foster the “Four C’s.” They engage in hands-on activities that allow them to experience and practice the “Four C’s” during the training experience with a selection of commonly available technology tools and digital resources. As a result, they develop a deeper understanding of the importance of these skills and are able to more effectively integrate them into everyday instruction. |
