ITSCO Staff

Alyssa Baker recently joined the ITSCO team as a consultant after teaching high school reading for the past two years in Cape Coral, Florida.  Originally a native of Central Ohio, she earned her B.S. degree from The Ohio State University in Human Ecology, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.  Alyssa then went on to pursue her Masters of Education from Ashland University, where she also completed the requirements for an Ohio Teaching Licensure in PreK-3 Education and K-12 Reading. 

Lynaya Elliott hails from Southern Ohio and moved to Columbus in 2002 to complete her BA in Women's Studies at The Ohio State University. She has held positions within organizations ranging from public broadcasting to research and development. As a web enthusiast, she thrives on discovering the newest in information technology. Lynaya looks forward to an exciting future with ITSCO and our members.

David Hayward joined ITSCO as an Instructional Technology Consultant in January of 2002. He now serves as our Project Manager for Multimedia. David has five years classroom experience teaching 4th and 6th grade as well as two years as an Educational Technology Trainer in Toledo Public Schools. You can reach David via his email address:

Bill Mooney, Educational Consultant, joined ITSCO after twelve years of teaching Social Studies at the high school level. He has worked with schools in Franklin County, Delaware County, and most recently in the on-line learning environment. 

Amy Palermo, Executive Director, began her educational career in Texas as a Middle School Language Arts teacher, yearbook advisor and Elementary School Curriculum Integration Specialist. She joined ITSCO in January, 2002, as an Instructional Technology Consultant and has also served as our Project Manager for Online Learning.  She has a BA in English from the University of North Texas and a MA in Technologies of Instruction and Media from The Ohio State University.  Amy’s commitment to ITSCO, partnered with the dedicated staff, continues to challenge the organization to be a valuable resource for educators.

Rachel Simon recently returned to the Columbus area after two years of designing and delivering Interactive Video Conferencing programming for the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska.  Her background and teaching experience is in early childhood education.

Mark Thomas comes to ITSCO and the Columbus OH area from Belpre, OH in the Southeastern part of the state where he has held the position of Technology Coordinator for Meigs Local School District for the past 7.5 years. Mark has a B.S. degree in Business Administration, an A.A.S. in Computer Systems Technology from Washington State Community College, and is currently pursuing his M.S. in Educational Technology from Rio Grande University. 

Peggy Whyte, who became a member of the ITSCO team in June of 1998, comes to us with more than eleven years experience in the high school foreign language classroom. She has a BA in Education and a Master's Degree in French from Ohio University. Peggy concentrates her efforts in the South Region, and she is our Webmaster.
