Making Ends Meet:  A Comprehensive Budgeting Project for the Secondary Classroom

Conclusion

When you have finished this project, several things should have been accomplished.  First, each student will have experienced using and creating an Excel spreadsheet complete with formulas, functions and charting data.  Second, each student will have an introductory understanding of creating a PowerPoint presentation and have imported graphics, spreadsheets and charts into the presentation.  Students will have experienced using online resources and learned how to document electronic resources.  Finally, they will have gained real-life knowledge about what it's like to have a career and many of the expenses that go along with living on your own.
