ToonDoo

Create your own cartoons! Lots of ready made characters, backgrounds and props that students can add along with their own text to create a cartoon (or even a "Toon Book") to explain a concept, tell a story, or make a statement about current events (political cartoon). And as with most Web 2.0 applications, others can comment!

This is a cool way to differentiate instruction by having varied "products" that students can choose from in order to express what they have learned. It can also serve as great motivation for writing activities across curricular areas for visual learners.

You'll need to set up a username and password to save your "Toons," and once you have published, you can click on the link to get the code to embed your cartoon in your blog or web page. Check it out at http://www.toondoo.com/.
