 WOSU launches ohiowarstories.org, a sustainable, media-rich, and interactive Web site designed to coincide with Ken Burns’ The War. Ohiowarstories.org is a comprehensive Web portal that enables Ohioans to engage in the larger historical narrative of World War II through the lens of local history. Ohio veterans and families can share stories via print, still images, blogs, and video while increasing the awareness and understanding of the War among current and future generations. The site features interactive forums where users can share information, arrange reunions, and keep in touch about war-related activities. Professionally produced spots from Ohio PBS affiliates, as well as educational materials and information pertaining to how students can create an oral history or interview a war veteran, are easily accessible from the site.
