Check the Member Schools section to see if your district is an Advantage or Premium member. Graduate credit is available for all of our classes for an additional fee. 

Cancellations received two weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund less a $25 processing fee; review the cancellation policy for more information.

Creating eBooks to supplement your course or having students create eBooks can be a great way to share content with other students or a larger audience. In this class, we will demonstrate how to create ebooks that don’t require expensive software for purchase or special devices to read. We will also explore OER (Open Education Resources) these are resources that permit their free use and re-purposing.

Design Thinking with Makerspaces*

Build, play and learn using a variety of technology to stretch your creativity and sharpen your analytical processes.  Join ITSCO in creating a makerspace for students grades 4-10 where you can discover coding, mobile games, robotics, Minecraft, and more. In this hands-on space, you’ll have the chance to experiment with different tools and gadgets that can engage students and promote higher order thinking skills. Participants will set up design challenges to engage students in their Makerspace. This session will look at developing an engaging learning environment by creating interactive, self-directed learning experiences for students. The Makey Makey Invention Literacy Workshop for Educators is a fun hands-on learning experience where you'll learn how to teach Invention Literacy, Making, and Design Thinking using the award winning Makey Makey invention kit. We'll explore how to teach circuits and conductivity using Makey Makeys and then put our skills to use designing your own inventions!
