Check the Member Schools section to see if your district is an Advantage or Premium member. Graduate credit is available for all of our classes for an additional fee. Cancellations received two weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund less a $25 processing fee; review the cancellation policy for more information.

Mobile devices are being used in the classroom daily and have allowed educators to shift their teaching styles to a more student-centered approach.  We are no longer living in a one size fits all world.  The integration of Google and the iPad have allowed us to extract the power of these different tools to achieve individual student learning goals.  In this course, you will learn about harnessing the creative powers of the iPads while still gaining access to the productivity powers from Google Apps.  Participants must have basic iPad skills to participate.

We’ll explore Drive, how to use Docs and Forms in the classroom, and discuss workflow strategies. Come and learn in a safe and fun environment built for educators.

 

Makey Makey Invention Literacy Workshop for Educators*

The Makey Makey Invention Literacy Workshop for Educators is a fun hands-on learning experience where you'll learn how to teach Invention Literacy, Making, and Design Thinking using the award winning Makey Makey invention kit. We'll explore how to teach circuits and conductivity using Makey Makeys and then put our skills to use designing your own inventions! Participants learn best practices and gain access to a multimedia training website that can be used later when working with your students or training others.  Participants walk away with a FREE Makey Makey and certificate of completion.  This course is offered through partnerships with ITIP Ohio and is open to all Ohio educators.

Come explore the variety of resources that INFOhio has to offer in this Free Class! In this class, participants will dive into the classroom tools located in INFOhio's core collection with research tools and beyond. Classroom applications for the PreK-12 classroom will be covered.

Build, play and learn using a variety of technologies to stretch your creativity and sharpen your analytical processes.  Join ITSCO in creating a makerspace for  students grades 4-10 where you can discover coding, mobile games, robotics, Minecraft, and more. In this hands on space, you’ll have the chance to experiment with different tools and gadgets that can engage students and promote higher order thinking skills. Participants will set up design challenges to engage students in their Makerspace. A Makerspace kit is included for you to keep!  The kit includes a Makerspace book, Makey Makey, Ozobot, and Keva blocks

It can be used for note taking, brainstorming, research, searching, collaboration, collecting random bits of information — basically, everything you have ever tried to do in notepads, sticky notes, to-do lists, and maybe even white boards. You’ll find it all much easier to do with OneNote, and will be able to keep all your information in one easy-to-manage location.

Demystify game development and increase game literacy by using design thinking to prototype adventure games to teach a single concept or short-term lesson.
